Privacy Policy

nlo.lol (“we”, “us”) is a QR code generator that runs entirely in your browser. This policy explains what that means for your data.

1. The short version

• We do not collect, store, sell or share the content you put into QR codes.
• There are no accounts, no cookies and no advertising or tracking scripts.
• Everything you type, upload or generate stays on your device.

2. What is processed on your device

The text, links, Wi-Fi details, contacts, logos and colors you enter are used only inside your browser to draw the QR code and to create the files you download. They are not sent to our servers.

3. Data stored in your browser

We save two preferences in your browser’s local storage so the site remembers them: your theme and your language (keys nlo-theme and nlo-lang). They contain no personal data and you can delete them at any time by clearing site data. The site may also keep copies of its own files in your browser cache so that it can work offline. If you use the “Copy link” button, your design settings are encoded in the link you copy; we do not receive or store it.

4. Third-party services

To deliver the site we rely on providers that may process technical data such as your IP address, browser type and the requested URL:

• Vercel, our hosting provider, which serves the pages and may keep standard server logs for delivery and security.
• Google Fonts, which serves the typeface used on the site.
• jsDelivr, a content delivery network that serves the open-source QR code library.

These providers act under their own privacy policies. If we add analytics in the future, we will update this page first.

5. What you encode in a QR code

A QR code is not encrypted: anyone who scans it can read its content. Do not encode secrets you are not willing to share, and be careful with Wi-Fi passwords and personal contact details. You are responsible for the content of the codes you create and share.

6. Children

The service is not directed at children under 13 (or under 16 where local law requires), and we do not knowingly collect their data.

7. Your rights

Because we do not hold personal data about you, there is generally nothing to access, correct or delete on our side. If you are in the EEA, the UK or another region with data protection laws, you may still contact us with any request, and you have the right to complain to your local data protection authority.

8. International transfers

Our providers may process technical data in countries other than your own, under their own safeguards.

9. Changes

We may update this policy. The date at the top shows the latest version.
